What was your firm’s intake process to sign a prospective client?
“When I first started, we did everything on a Word document. The form was confusing to fill out with lots of different fonts and colors. You had to annotate each time you talked to someone.
The process was very stressful. We missed out on big cases because our intake process was so inefficient.
Another issue was that we could only do client intake over the phone. This severely limited our reach to potential clients and for them to contact us. We missed out on cases we wanted because we weren’t there when they needed us.”
What did your law firm do to address these inefficiencies?
“We started using a case management system (CMS) and it made things somewhat faster, but there were still problems. For example, I’m not an attorney, so I didn’t always have the knowledge required to ask prospective clients relevant questions. At worst, cases would fall through the cracks, and at best, an attorney would have to review the intake before the client could be signed. This delay could be extremely costly.
As another example, there was no integration between the intake process and the rest of our case management system, meaning we had to take time to copy everything over. It was a gross inefficiency and another place where important information could get lost in the shuffle – and often did.”

My favorite feature is ‘Click to Call’ because it eliminates misdials, which could lead to us missing out on a case. Clients are calling multiple attorneys, so every second counts. One misdial could mean the difference between us getting a case we want or not.
Furthermore, we receive reports on how to grow our firm using our best marketing channels, the ones that produce the most and highest-quality leads. This allows us to refine and tweak our spending strategy based on the latest data.”
